He's adventurous, stubborn, defensive, talkative, determined, independent, and often gets lost when he's away from the water. He has a love for herbal teas, and is particularly good at memorizing names of fish and random facts about them. Which is useful, because he can't get that from books, mostly due to the fact that he can't read. He's actually pretty smart, but pirates never had much of a need to read anything other than maps, or that's what Skip was told his whole life.
